Learning to save a life
On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, delivered a Basic Life Support for Non-healthcare Provider training for the Red Cross Youth (PMR) members of Regents Secondary School Bali.
Students from Grades 10–12 joined a session that covered:
✅ Recognizing cardiac arrest and calling for help
✅ High-quality chest compressions
✅ Using an AED
✅ Hands-on practice with manikins in 3 small groups

The results spoke for themselves: the average test score rose from 8.81 to 9.88 out of 10 after the training. 🎉
Anyone can be the first responder in an emergency. Thank you to Regents Secondary School Bali for inviting us, and to our team of faculty members and residents who made this happen. 🙌
